Business and Finance

Mr. Richard Cunningham, Assistant Superintendent for Business
Welcome to the Business and Finance section of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District website.  The Business Office supports facets of the business of education including: budgeting and financial planning, accounting, purchasing, accounts payable, banking and investing, food service, pupil transportation, insurance, building operation and maintenance and other tasks that support student learning in a safe and fiscally sound environment.

The Business and Finance pages contain information on our building improvements program supported by the December 2014 bond referendum and capital reserves, budget information, the district's reserve and fund balance plan, and numerous reports conducted by internal auditors, external auditors and the auditors of the Office of the New York State Comptroller.  We hope that you visit these pages frequently to remain up-to-date on the district's financial condition and operations.

The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is proud to maintain its "AAA" credit rating through a long period of tightening revenue sources.  The district's commitment to long-range financial planning and thorough budgeting on an annual basis places the district in a unique position to maintain its fiscal integrity and to continue to support and grow a robust academic program for the community of Plainview-Old Bethpage.
We hope that you contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.  We encourage you to contact us through the "Let's Talk" utility on our district website at or by phone or email.  Thank you for your continued engagement in the education of the children of Plainview-Old Bethpage.
